At a wedding I attended last summer, the bride and her Father danced to "The Way You Look Tonight" (rather than the usual "Daddy's Little Girl".) Here's a wonderful version by Michael Buble that's just great for the occasion:

Good Morning Bright Red Lips!
How about those long lasting lipsticks...
Well, I for one think they are great. It is a little unsettling the first time you wake up with absolutely no make-up but with bright red lips...then you know for sure they are not kidding about 12 hours of staying power!
They are all very drying so it is a good idea to use lip balm liberally for a few day prior to the event. If you don't do this the lipstick will bleed into the tiny cracks around your lips and given that these are lip stain products, it is almost impossible to correct the situation. Be proactive and moisturize your lips!
The best part is your lipstick will consistent throughout the event and there won't be any tell-tale photos of you looking pale!
Just prepare for Good Morning Bright Red Lips!

Think Oprah!
Don’t you just wish you could lose some weight?
Why is it that every time we receive an invitation to a special event, we instantly think ‘Do I have time to lose 10 pounds?’ When will this preoccupation with being thinner stop, I wonder!
I always say to my customers, ‘Think Oprah’! Though she may be dissatisfied with her weight, you would never know it. Oprah always looks confident and stylish. She is never afraid to draw attention to herself by wearing bright colors or bold prints. She is bright, dynamic, wealthy, and successful. But deep-down, I know that Oprah is as prone to self-doubt as all of us. That is what makes her human.
Well, it is time for me to take my own advise. Our reunion is coming up and rather than thinking ‘Do I have time to lose 10 pounds?’ I will choose a bright, snug dress and ‘Think Oprah’.

Shall I Wear Black to My Daughter's Wedding?
This is a very popular question to which I offer this advice: if the bride, groom or any important member of the family upholds the thinking that "black is bad luck at a wedding," let it go--black is out. It is simply not worth the energy to defend the color choice right up to the day of the wedding and then beyond. Understand that if someone thinks black is unlucky they are really trying to protect your good luck, and you need people like that in your life!
If you are undecided about black, on the fashion runway there are great alternatives that provide a new twist. Designer Donna Ricco is bringing forward deep midnight blue and dark platinum, two beautiful alternatives to black.
‘Shall I wear black?’ also prompts the question ‘how formal is the wedding?’ If the gentlemen are wearing tuxedos, black for the gowns is very appropriate. You see, on the formality scale, black is the most formal color! The perfect complement to a tuxedo is a floor-length black gown that brings elegance to the occasion in an understated way.
What is the greatest benefit to wearing black? The photos! Weddings are a wonderful time for a family portrait and certainly, the parents must be captured. A black gown is stunning beside the bride’s white or ivory gown. And how elegant is the picture of Mom in a long, black evening gown and Dad in a tuxedo! Should you opt for the deep blues or platinums, consider a cummerbund/tie combination of a similar color. The photos will be stunning!
